It was a stereotypical Thursday evening when my friend Hezzy, who is also David Guison’s photographer, offered me a proposal that I just cannot say no to. “Are you available this Sunday for a styling session with David?”, he asked. And in a heartbeat, the normality of the night broke and was replaced by sheer bliss. 🙂
I was actually the last one to arrive at the Collezione C2 pop-up store. All of ‘em was there already so everything went by so fast. I met some of my peers who are as interested and as zealous as I am with regards to flair. Thank God there was no hint of awkwardness even though it was just our first time to meet! Click kami kagad. Hello there Kenneth, Archie, Raf, Darell & Jan! 😉
Again, I ask for pardon ‘coz some images are not as fine as the rest. It’s because I didn’t use my Nikon entirely for this post’s photos.
Then the moment arrived. I finally met David Guison in the flesh! He was too good to be true. As in. No exaggeration at all. He was one of the kindest people I’ve met who inspire me so much. I remember when I was still an amateur, DG was the person who I would always copy. His style was the one that motivated me the most during my initial year. Eventually, I found my niche, the style I could call my own. Pero syempre, still DG-influenced nonetheless.
It felt as if I was just talking to a bro friend while conversing with Dave! He’s very down-to-earth, cool and comfy to be with. I really never thought I’d be able to strike up a conversation with him! He made it very easy for me. #fanboymode
After the styling sesh, we charged towards the photobooth for a groupie! Try to spot me. HAHAHA good luck.
Photo ops everywhere. We didn’t care about the fact that we’re in the middle of a legit mall! That’s called livin’ the moment.
All in all, it was a noteworthy incident that I’ll smile at whenever I remember. Cheers to more collabs in the future! Cheers to socializing with more co-bloggers! Cheers to an exciting future ahead for the Kiddo!
